Violist Suzanne Wagor has collaborated with numerous artists, including members of the Tokyo String Quartet, the Nash Ensemble of London, the Peabody Trio, and Red Cedar Chamber Music. A native of Iowa, Suzanne made her concerto debut at the age of 15 with the Cedar Rapids Symphony Orchestra, and she has twice been a finalist of the American String Teachers Association National Competition. During the 2000-2001 season, she served as Principal Viola of the Cedar Rapids Symphony Orchestra and taught at both Coe College and the Cedar Rapids Symphony School. She also served as Visiting Assistant Professor of Viola at Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff during the 2003-2004 school year. Suzanne holds a Bachelor of Music from the Oberlin Conservatory of Music, where she was a recipient of the Dean’s Merit Scholarship. She has also received a Performance Diploma in Orchestral Training from the Guildhall School of Music in London, England, with additional studies at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music. Currently, she is pursuing a Masters Degree in viola performance at the Juilliard School. Her principal teachers include William Preucil, Sr., Jeffrey Irvine, Lynne Ramsey, Ian Swensen, Roger Chase, Heidi Castleman, and Misha Amory.
