Miranda Sielaff began teaching at School for Strings in the fall of
2005. As an avid chamber musician and supporter of new music, she has
performed at venues such as Bargemusic, Weill Hall, Alice Tully Hall, Miller Theater, and the Parlor Entertainment Jazz Series. While at Juilliard she was Morse Fellow at P.S. 166 in Manhattan, where she wrote and taught her own music curriculum to elementary school children. She presented a project on commissioning works for young students at ASTA’s 2005 National Conference titled “Teaching to the Future of Classical Music.” Miranda studied Suzuki Pedagogy at School for Strings, and holds Bachelors and Masters degrees in music from Rice University and the Juilliard School.
