San San Lee received her B.M. from the Oberlin College-Conservatory and M.M. from the Juilliard School on scholarships. As winner of the Oberlin Concerto competition, she performed with the Oberlin Orchestra broadcast on WOBC and classical WCLV-Cleveland. Toured as a member of the Juilliard Orchestra in Japan, China and Hong Kong including live radio and telelvision broadcasts. Studied with Margery Aber, Dorothy Mauney, Stephen Clapp, Joseph Fuchs. And at Moscow's Tchaikovsky Conservatory with Sergei Kravchenko and Eduard Grach during their International Summer Festival; and with Serban Lupu at the International Summer Festival in Todi, Italy. Selected to perform in master classes with Joseph Gingold, Joseph Silverstein, Joseph Fuchs, Max Rostal, Louis Kaufman, Shinichi Suzuki. Gave a debut recital at Carnegie's Weill Recital Hall as a winner of the Artists International Auditions; invited to perform on their Alumni winners series. By invitation, performed a recital on the Live from the Elvehem series broadcast on WI Public Radio. Other solo and chamber performances at Lincoln Center's Bruno Walter Auditorium, Merkin Hall, American Landmark Festival, Harvard Club, United Nations Auditorium, U-Penn, Texas Christian Univ., Louisiana State Univ., amongst others. Live chamber music performance on WQXR-NY, solo & chamber performances throughout the U.S., Europe, Eastern Europe (including Budapest; Split and live Zagreb television broadcast in Croatia) and Russia. Invited as clinician at Suzuki violin/chamber workshops and institutes nationwide. School for Strings violin faculty since 1990; Juilliard's Music Advancement Program since 1991, serving as their first departmental strings chair.
